Submission Instructions

SESoS 2026 will seek two types of paper submissions:

  • Research papers (up to 8 pages), describing original, substantial contributions in research and/or practice
  • Extended abstracts (up to 4 pages), including position papers and experience reports describing emerging results, lessons learned, open problems or novel ideas and perspectives on research.

The page limits include abstract, all figures, tables, and references. As per the new ACM policies for open-access publishing, extended abstracts will be free of Article Processing Charges (APCs), while research papers not.

All authors must use the official ACM Primary Article Template and submit their papers in PDF format through the EasyChair system. LaTeX authors must use \documentclass[sigconf,review]{acmart} in the preamble of the main file, allowing typesetting the paper in a double-column format with line numbers for easy reference by the reviewers. The following conference information also must be used:

\acmConference[SESoS 2026]{14th ACM/IEEE International Workshop on Software Engineering for Systems-of-Systems and Software Ecosystems}{April 12, 2026} {Rio de Janeiro, Brazil}
\acmYear{2026}
\copyrightyear{2026}

Review and Publication Processes

All submitted papers should describe original work and not have been published or under review anywhere. At least three reviewers will judge the papers based on their clarity, relevance, originality, and contribution. The review process is single-blind, i.e., author information must appear in the paper.

Accepted papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library. The publication of the accepted papers will require the registration of at least one author in SESoS 2026, as well as the oral presentation of the paper during the workshop.
